Clean The Condenser Coils

One of the most important things that you need to keep in mind is to always clean the condenser coils. These coils can accumulate lint and dust over time, which in turn cuts down the energy efficiency. When this happens, the compressor may work double time and may run hotter than usual.

Clean the Gaskets

Gaskets work by sealing in the cool air inside the refrigerator. It’s important to make sure that the seal has a strong hold to keep the air from escaping. To check, take a closer look at the gasket. See if there are any cracks or other damages. You can also put a dollar bill in the door of the fridge and test if you can pull it out. If possible, allow food leftover to cool down to room temperature first before shoving them into the fridge. This will help lessen the amount of warm air that goes inside and save the compressor from overworking.
